Elizabeth went to the doctor today for her 8 Month Checkup. She did great!!!
She is 36 weeks and her measurements are as follows; Her weight is 18 lbs 13.5 oz. which is in the 60%, her head circ: 45 1/2 cm which is in the 90%, and her length is 28 1/2 in. which is in the 90%. Elizabeth is just about right on target with where Sarah was at this stage. Her next well-check will be at 12 months.
She continues to be a very happy baby. She experienced her 1st time in the nursery at church a couple Sundays ago and did pretty well. Separation anxiety is still fairly tough right now for her.
Overall though, she is truly delightful in every way! Some of her favorite things at the present moment include; Mommy, Mommy, Mommy..., just kidding! She does have a few others; her toys, watching Sesame Street, Barney or anything animated and musical. We are noticing that she is in love with music, like many babies I guess. When she hears any type of music she stops everything and is drawn in its direction immediately. Sarah is the same way and always has been. We do hope both girls will continue to develop their affections for music.
Elizabeth also enjoys watching Sarah entertain her. Her eyes clearly illuminate while she chuckles and squeals at Sarah's silly talk and play! I must say Elizabeth should develop to be one tough little lady from all the rough and tumble play she encounters on a daily basis! We think she sort of enjoys it though!!!
She continues to rock on all fours and should be crawling shortly. She is doing a little shifting/sliding and maneuvering about when placed in a spot in our family room.
And..., last but not least, Elizabeth is a wonderful eater! She enjoys eating just about everything I give her. Some of her favorites are; Applesauce, Sweet Potatoes, Prunes, Oatmeal, Green Beans, and Bananas.
Thank you Lord for these two precious and healthy little miracles! They are incredible treasures we are blessed to teach and nurture everyday!
